Blood Cleanup
Read more about this service or situation.
Not every body fluid is treated identically under every rule, and risk depends on the material and situation. OSHA specifically defines blood and certain other potentially infectious materials for occupational exposure purposes.
The incident, visible blood, unknown material, affected surface and who may be exposed all matter. When the material cannot be identified safely, avoid unnecessary contact.
Cleanup methods should match the surface and material involved. Porous materials may retain contamination differently from sealed nonporous surfaces.
Consider specialized help when the contamination is extensive, unknown, embedded in porous materials, associated with trauma or decomposition, or otherwise beyond ordinary household cleanup.
