Certain body fluids and tissues
OSHA's definition of other potentially infectious materials includes specified human body fluids, any body fluid visibly contaminated with blood, fluids that cannot be differentiated, and unfixed human tissue or organs other than intact skin.
Contaminated sharps
Needles and other contaminated objects capable of penetrating skin create a distinct handling hazard and should not be picked up casually or placed where someone may be stuck.
